A series of pocket-sized, nature handbook covers

Created as my first ever graphic design project, I was tasked with creating a system of handbook covers for a series of nature field guides.

I knew instantly I wanted to flex my illustrative muscles and took inspirations from the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts design movements. The covers are printed on a Japanese Washi paper as a callback to the nature themes of the books’ contents. While meant to be read, the books also act as a lovely shelf art piece.
